INGREDIENTS –
-Mix 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of sugar together to form a paste.
-Mix 3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil with 2 tablespoons of sugar to form a paste.
DIRECTIONS –
Wash your skin. Select the location you are going to scrub, and wet it completely. If your skin is dirty, use a mild soap and warm water to clean it off. Otherwise, just make sure that your skin is completely wet, otherwise the sugar scrub will be too abrasive.
Scrub your skin with the sugar. Scoop out 1-2 tablespoons of your sugar exfoliant onto your fingertips. Place this on the location you want to remove dead skin, and being scrubbing in a circular motion. Do this gently for 2-3 minutes to remove dead skin. While you’re scrubbing, you should feel no pain or discomfort; if you experience pain or tenderness, you are rubbing too hard with the sugar.
Rinse the sugar off. Run warm water from the tap, and use it to gently wipe away the sugar. There will be a residue from the scrub, but this will help to moisturize and soften your skin, and doesn’t need to be rinsed off completely.
Dry and moisturize your skin. Use a clean cloth to pat your skin dry. If you are looking to soften your skin, you can finish up the process by massaging a moisturizing lotion into your skin. Do this for 1-2 minutes, and your skin should be silky smooth and soft.
