MAC’s Best Foundation Yet ? Studio Waterweight Foundation Review
It seems like I’m always on the hunt for the perfect foundation. As my skin changes and with the seasons, my skin needs change and I find myself again looking for a new foundation again from time-to-time. For me every girl needs 2 foundations, 1 for day 1 for evening and MAC has outdone themselves with the launch of their newest foundation: Studio Waterweight Foundation.
Were they reading our minds, I wonder? This foundation blows away competition with all its great features and most importantly true second skin like finish.
Waterweight foundation is an ultra-fluid. The beauty of this foundation is it looks completely natural and texture-less on the skin but at the same time gives coverage. Your skin literally has this not made-up, velvety glow but it’s not dewy. I love how my skin looks when I’m wearing this foundation and the most amazing part is how my skin feels. It feels super soft and hydrated. The added SPF 30, just makes it the perfect foundation for day, but it can also work if you want a natural coverage for the evening.
Since its a serum foundation, its best applied directly to the skin and then patted on. You can use your fingers, a beauty blender (but you’ll end up using a lot more product) and the new #196 brush which was launched with the foundation. The brush doesn’t absorb much product and it makes it so easy to pat it onto the skin. You can wear less product and blend it out more for light coverage or pat on a bit more and build it up to a medium coverage. For normal to dry skin, you can wear the product alone. But if you have oily skin or are outdoors a lot set it with a powder. I love the way it looks with MAC Mineralized Skinfinish powder, its beautiful!! So gorgeous!
If you need more coverage on specific areas, use the MAC Pro long wear concealer on top but under the powder.
Mac has a good range of NC & NW colors to match a variety of skin tones.
