Mixed Berry Smoothie

By

As we welcome spring (finally!), smoothies are on my mind! Smoothies can be made using various kinds of fruits and veggies. I sometimes make mine in the morning in a rush, chopping up whatever I can find, throwing it all in my portable smoothie cup, and blending it with a hand blender. It’s ready within minutes and I am off to seize the day.

Here is a simple and quick mixed berry smoothie recipe for your hand blender. If you have more time on your hands, using a regular blender would be ideal, especially if you want to add lots of ice. I use fresh berries but frozen berries can be used as well, in which case you may not need any ice at all.

Mix:

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

½ cup diced strawberries

½ cup blueberries

½ cup raspberries

1 diced ripe banana

Crushed ice (in very small pieces if you are using a hand blender)

Stevia to taste

And yum, there’s your breakfast or mid afternoon snack!
