Oh La La Leopard

Even though it’s been unseasonably warm here in London lately, Fall is well and truly under way. Hello knee high boots, cosy sweaters, and warming mugs of pumpkin spice latte! There is something truly magical about this season, and perhaps being Canadian I delight in it even more so. One of my favourite things to do is of course scoping out the fashion that comes with the change of the season and this season’s trends haven’t disappointed. Ranging from lovely patterned midi dresses, to statement leather jackets, and one of my favourites – blanket scarves and capes, there is a trend for everyone.

But looking at all of you lovely fashionistas, there’s one trend that has stood out to me above the rest – leopard print! Now I know this isn’t something new, leopard and animal print in general has never really gone away, but this season it seems to have made a remarkable resurgence. I started spotting it all over my social media news feeds and decided I had to devote my next blog post to it. Now I’m not saying you need to do a Snooki and dress head to toe in it. I’m talking more catwalk and less Jersey shore boardwalk. Incorporate it using a statement piece, such as a clutch or a pair of killer shoes. Or perhaps with a scarf or a hat. To illustrate the trend, I’ve put together some of my favorite streetstyle shots that I’ve seen on my fellow desi style junkies.

First up we have the lovely Kavita Donkersley who never fails to impress with her unique sense of style and zest for life. She’s built up a large following and is one of my favourite desi style bloggers. She is totally rocking this leopard print maxi cardi!

Next we have Nitya Dhanwani, incorporating this leopard printed scarf from Aldo into her ootd to make a statement. She is also from the UK and is an up and coming blogger to keep an eye on.
