Estée Lauder unveils Modern Muse, a new fragrance that is inspired by the intriguing duality of today’s woman and complements every aspect of her dynamic life. This fragrance captures the essence of a Modern Muse with a Lush Floral Woody scent, a true statement in modern luxury that conveys confidence, style and creativity with a modern, youthful attitude.

I’ve been a fan of Estée Lauder scents since high school when I used to wear my favorite scent at that time which was Pleasures.  I was really excited to finally get my hands on their newest launch: Modern Muse – which is their first major launch in the last decade!!!  The scent comes with a new concept in fragrance with a dual-composition of two accord’s one being sparkling jasmine (which symbolizes femininity) and sleek woods (representing strength).  The first accord, accord of jasmine, blends exotic notes of mandarin, tuberose, fresh lily, honeysuckle, dewy petals, Sambac jasmine and Chinese Sambac jasmine absolute. The sleek woods accord combines two types of patchouli, Madagascar vanilla, amber wood and soft musk

Bottom Line

Modern muse is definitely a perfume that makes me feel feminine and confident.  It smells heavenly on the skin and after a few hours becomes much softer towards a feminine woody scent.  It’s a great classic scent which you can wear anytime of the day – I’ve worn it for a few meetings and when I’ve been out on busy work days and have received compliments.  To me, a good fragrance is one where I keep smelling myself and two when I get compliments!  I’d say if you’d like the scent to remain stronger wear it on your clothing and if you want the scent to become softer wear it on bare skin.  Love the perfume, a great addition to my collection.
