Drugstore Beauty : Top 4 Affordable Dupes For MAC Rebel

By

MAC Rebel is a cult classic and for good reasons, almost everyone I know is a fan!

There’s just something about it that strikes the perfect balance between pink and purple undertones that looks super flattering on all skin tones but in my opinion is the bomb.com (yes, i just used that haha) on South Asian skin tones. I wasn’t really looking for dupes of MAC Rebel, but the other day I was clearing out my lipsticks and realized that I had one too many lipsticks that looked a bit too much like Rebel haha – I guess when you’ve found a color you really love, you’re subconsciously constantly buying similar shades from different brands.

Here’s a little break down of the dupes I’ve collected –

Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in Sugar Plum Fairy

Easily the most pigmented, even more so than Rebel. This is what I would call the ‘perfect’ dupe – seriously!

NYX Butter Lipstick in Hunk Beau Goose

The sheer formula of the lipstick might throw you off, but trust me, its practically the same thing as Rebel just in a different formulation. If you’re one for sheer lipsticks, this one will be the best pick out of the lot for you.

NYX Matte Lipstick in Aria

I swear this is the dupe for the above mentioned NYX lipstick and obviously MAC Rebel too – the only difference is the I feel like it has some violet undertones that really peak through.

Colourpop Lippie Stix in Flawless

This, I admit, is not a bang on dupe, but it is pretty darn close. Think MAC Rebel with darker plum tones, and you’ll be left with Flawless. A stunning color nonetheless!

Which did you think was the most perfect dupe? Let me know in the comments below!
