Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation is a cult classic!
If you haven’t heard of this baby, you may as well have been living under a rock. It’s one of those go-to foundations on every blogger’s top foundation list, it’s a foundation with quite an impressive reputation. Long-wearing and full coverage, it holds up in hot climates and has a flawless finish. It’s a great product but is a bit hard to carry around and use when you’re on the go.
Estee Lauder recently came up with the Double Wear Foundation to Go(What a brilliant idea!) It comes in an easy to carry compact that holds the liquid foundation inside. Just pop it open and press the button to disperse the product. 1 pump for a natural look, 2 pumps for a more full coverage finish. Apply with your fingers, brush or with the sponge applicator.
The foundation colors are the same as the original Double Wear foundation but the formula is different. The original is more matte and fuller coverage then this new version. I prefer this formula, as you can wear it day-to-day or even in the evening. It’s SO much more hydrating and the formula doesn’t accentuate fine lines or wrinkles! It gives a dewy and luminous finish to the skin which I absolutely love. It’s for all skin types, but I’d recommend setting it with a powder for oily skin or hot climates. I generally wear Sand or Rattan from the original DW foundation which are both more yellow in tone. This one is Fresco, which is more pink. It works but I prefer Sand and next Rattan for my NC25 skin.
I love this foundation for anyone looking for full coverage but not an overly heavy finish. I like this a lot for dry, mature or normal skin-tones. Oily skin-types can also use this but may need to set it well with a good setting powder like the MAC Studio Fix. The packaging is nothing less than brilliant!
Estee Lauder is really upping the game with each new makeup product they launch, the line just keeps getting better and better!
