Lesser Known Hobbies Of Bollywood Celebs! Part 2

In the first part of this series, we told you about what apna Bollywood celebs like to do when they’re not being stars and divas.

In part 2, we’re seeing the likes of Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor revealing a part of themselves almost as lovable as the characters they assay on screen.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor (writing) – Think Sonam and the industry can’t seem to move beyond her amazing fashion choices. Popularly known as the fashionista of Bollywood, she wants to be recognized for her other talents too.

No, not acting.

Sonam reveals that she loves writing and keeps a journal with her which she carries everywhere. Apparently, she’s a huge of literature and loves reading Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice.

Since Sonam’s known for her frank and bold statements in interviews, one can only imagine what a book penned by her would be like.

Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar (chef) – It’s no secret that Akshay is the most iconic action star of our time (bollywood). From his various Khiladi roles to his action-packed reality shows, Akshay Kumar can give any trained martial arts instructor a run for their money.

But something that’s not as well known about Akshay is his penchant for cooking.

Before he became an actor, Akshay was a chef in Thailand and apparently he was really good at it. Back then, cooking was his profession and he depended on it to earn his living.

Today, being the star that he is, he still takes time to cook – for his wife! He swears by Thai Green curry and regularly makes it even today.

Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan (poet) – Vidya Balan has created a niche for herself as one of the few female actors who can carry a film on her shoulders without needing a hero in it (think Kahaani and Dirty picture). After winning accolades for her acting skills and brickbats for her dressing, a new side of Vidya shows literary love.

For those who didn’t know, Vidya studied at the prestigious St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai and is now trying her hand at poetry.

She also loves to mime and mimics Bollywood celebs with ease. Doesn’t this make you love VIdya even more?

Aditya RoyKapoor

Aditya Roy Kapoor (musician) – He’s the newest kid on the block who tasted success with the musical hit Aashiqui 2. For the record, Aditya is Vidya Balan’s brother-in-law and Sidharth Roy’s younger brother.

It may delight female fans to know that, like his character on screen, Aditya is quite a good musician and plays the guitar and sings really well.

How about a concert for the fans, Aditya?

Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan (guitarist) – Who knew the Nawab of Pataudi came with strings attached, literally ? Bollywood’s original scion comes from a family so regal, even the Bachchans seem overshadowed.

Apart from being the gentleman that Saif is, he is quite the rockstar guitarist and has performed at several rock shows.

Now this is the kind of royalty we like!

As our series shows, there’s more to the folks at Bollywood than their acting prowess. Kudos to these stars who decided to not forget their passion despite the tolls of their profession.
