Galliano Returns!

Oh. My. God. I cannot contain my excitement! The brilliant and whom can only be described as one of the most talented designers of our generation is back! Despite, his controversial reputation he has been announced the Creative Director for Maison Martin Margiela!

OTB group’s President (own Margiela), Renzon Rosso said the following in a press release:

“Margiela is ready for a new charismatic creative soul. John Galliano is one of the greatest, undisputed talents of all time. A unique, exceptional couturier for a Maison that always challenged and innovated the world of fashion. I look forward to his return to create that Fashion Dream that only he can create, and wish him to here find his new home.”

The infamous Galliano spent almost twenty-five years at Christian Dior before his ‘disgraceful’ exit. Nonetheless following the Parisian court’s charges, the designer is bigger than ever. The brand he made so loveable is still owned by LVMH (world’s largest luxury group). He is still currently involved in cases against Christian Dior SA and John Galliano.

The designer has made it no secret of his desire to return to fashion since his three weeks at Oscar de la Renta, which everyone already thought he could take over after de la Renta’s inevitable retirement. Talks fell through when the British designer insisted on bringing his own staff to the renowned American fashion house.

Regardless, now, the designer is returning to take control of all of Margiela’s lines and is expected to make his debut at Paris Couture Week in January!
